Instructions

    • 1

Remove the check strip from the package. With the tab pointing right, insert it into the Ascensia Elite Meter. Wait for the second beep from the meter and for the display to show a check mark, and then note the reading. This should be within the range listed on the package's insert. When you're done, return the check strip to its package.

    • 2

Tear open the clear, plastic packet with the code strip carefully. Set aside the packet and store the code strip in it after the tests. The tab should be on the top side of the strip when it is put into the meter. Listen for the second beep. After the beep, the function number will show on the display. Compare the display number with the chart that is included in the package.

    • 3

Separate a single packet from the carton of test strips, and open it carefully until you can see the whole test strip. Set the packet aside. Then hold the strip's round end and insert the strip fully into the meter.

    • 4

Gently squeeze a drop of the control solution inside the foil from Step 3.

    • 5

Hold the test end of the strip in the drip and wait for the meter's beep. This means that some of the solution was absorbed into the strip and the 29-second countdown has started on the meter's timer.

    • 6

Look at the display to find the result. Compare the reading with the information printed on the test strip carton.

    • 7

Wrap a tissue around the test strip to pull it out, and throw it away. The meter will turn itself off, and you're ready to test your glucose level.
