The Accu-Chek Compact is a portable blood sugar meter which is commonly used by people who suffer from diabetes. The Accu-Chek displays test results using a bright, glow in-the-dark screen, and can run 17 tests before the test drum must be replaced.       Insert new batteries into the battery compartment located on the bottom of the Accu-Chek if the meter will not power on.

      Take tests only in rooms that are within the recommended temperature range of 50 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. Taking tests outside of the range can create errors in displaying the test results.

      Restart the test and apply more blood to the test strip if an "Err" message displays alongside an image of a hand and testing strip.

      Contact Accu-Chek customer service at 800-858-8072 if you receive repeated error messages and none of the listed steps resolve the issue.
