Instructions

    • 1

Clean your hands before handling the glucose monitor and testing supplies.

    • 2

Verify that the code number on the test strip container matches the code on the meter display screen.

    • 3

Remove a new test strip from the container; hold it with the orange pad facing up and the arrows pointing toward the meter. Insert a new testing strip into the meter and gently push it in until it clicks in place. The meter automatically turns on and flashing-blood-drop and test-strip symbols appear in the display.

    • 4

Prick the side of your fingertip with the lancing device. The lancing device is a pen-like mechanism with a fine needle that pricks the skin to obtain a blood sample for testing.

    • 5

Squeeze your fingertip; when you see a drop of blood, touch the blood drop on the center of the test strip (square orange pad) until you see an hourglass in the display screen. View your test results in the display. Remove the test strip; the meter will automatically turn off.
