Instructions

  1. Changing the Pod

    • 1

Deactivate the current pod you are wearing by turning on the PDM and selecting the "Home" button.

    • 2

Select "Settings" from the menu on the screen. There will be several other choices so be sure to read them all carefully.

    • 3

Select "Change Pod" from the menu currently on the screen.

    • 4

Confirm that you want to deactivate the old pod by selected "Confirm" on this screen.

    • 5

Remove the old pod by lifting the edge of the adhesive holding the pod to the skin. Baby oil can be helpful to release the adhesive if it does not separate easily.

    • 6

Have the new pod ready for use and select "Yes" on the PDM to confirm that you want to activate a new pod when prompted.

    • 7

Select a different site than the current pod to place the new pod, and peel away the paper backing on the new pod. Stick the new pod in place.

    • 8

Activate the new pod through the PDM. The cannula will be inserted automatically and a priming bolus will be given. The system will then continue to function as it did before the change.
