Instructions

    • 1

Anesthetize the tissue near the urethral region with local anesthetic. By doing so the insertion of the cytoscope causes less pain to the patient.

    • 2

Insert a cytoscope into the urethra, which is then moved up to the bladder region.

    • 3

Saline/sterile liquid is then passed through the cytoscope that fills up the bladder fully. This will help in getting a clearer view of the inside of the bladder region.

    • 4

View the clearer version of the interior of the bladder and locate the bladder polyp and remove it by performing cystotomy.
