Colon Flush Home Remedy

Keeping your body clean and healthy on the inside is the only way to help ensure lasting health. Your colon is responsible for helping cleanse the body of toxins and wastes that are left over after nutrients and minerals have been absorbed from foods you have eaten. To keep your colon healthy and clean, you can perform several different colon cleanse, or colon flush, remedies at home.
  1. Colon and Cleanse

    • Your colon is connected to your intestinal tract, where the lining absorbs all nutrients into the bloodstream. If there is a buildup of bacteria and toxins, the lining will get clogged and not allow you to pass bowels as easily and frequently as you normally would. Because of this, you would need to flush your colon to rid the body of the bacterial backup so your intestines and colon can be healthy and function properly once again.
A newer remedy doctors have discussed for quite some time is all about eating whole grains and healthy oils. Sugars and other refined flours have no good nutritional value for the body, but whole wheat and canola or olive oils do. By eating these healthier grains and oils, you body will absorb good fats that are easily digested and soluble in your system.

    The Flush

    • Colon cleansing is not a harsh process, but it should be done only for a week at a time, with several weeks in between treatments. Your body needs the right vitamins and nutrients to function properly, so giving it time between each cleansing period will allow the regeneration of those natural nutrients.
Magnesium oxide is commonly used in colon cleansing, because it releases large amounts of oxygen into the intestine. That in turn will stimulate growth of good bacteria and prevent harmful bacteria from building up in your system. It is important to dilute magnesium oxide with water in the proper amount so that you do not damage your system.
Large amounts of fruits and vegetables along with drinking eight glasses of water per day helps give your body the increased fiber and water it needs to function normally. Fiber is necessary in flushing out wastes from your bowels. Whatever you choose to eat, do not solely stick with citrus fruits because of their detoxification properties. Yes the acidity of the fruit kills bacteria, but it may also destroy bacteria necessary for maintaining a balanced and healthy digestive tract.
