Symptoms of Low Sugar Levels

Low blood sugar is referred to as hypoglycemia in the medical community. Low blood sugar may occur when diabetics take too much insulin. However, low blood sugar may be related to other underlying conditions or may occur when an individual goes without. Low blood sugar is often treated by identifying any underlying conditions or by eating regularly. Low blood sugar affects brain functioning and causes various symptoms.
  1. Vision Problems

    • When blood sugar levels drop too low, blurry or double vision may occur.

    Confusion

    • Extremely low blood sugar levels may lead to confusion.

    Hunger

    • When blood sugar levels drop too low, individuals may experience extreme hunger.

    Trembling

    • Low blood sugar may also experience tremors or trembling.

    Other Symptoms

    • Low blood sugar may cause heart palpitations, sweating and anxiety. In severe cases, unconsciousness or seizures may occur.
