Bee Pollen Recipe
Bee pollen is one of nature's most perfect and pure foods. It is loaded with vitamins B and K and 59 different trace minerals, proteins, enzymes, amino acids and hormones. Thirty-five grams of bee pollen will supply your body with all of your daily protein needs. Bee pollen aides in digestion and contains natural antibiotics which provide healing properties. Bee pollen is an excellent source of nutrition, but should never be given to anyone allergic to bees.-
Blender Drink
-
Blender drinks are good meal-replacement drinks. For a bee pollen blender drink, in a blender mix 1 banana, 2 prunes, 1 tbsp. ground flax seeds, 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. orange juice, 1 tbsp. honey and 1 tsp. ground bee pollen. This makes a good energy drink for breakfast. You can substitute the juice for milk or even add peanut butter for extra protein.

You'll need 2 cups of fresh peaches (or any other fruit of your choosing), 1/4 cup of honey, 4 cups of milk, 1/2 tsp. almond extract (or other flavoring), 1 tsp. bee pollen and 4 cups of vanilla ice cream. Mix the fruit, honey and half the milk in a blender. Add the remaining milk, bee pollen, extract and half of the ice cream. Blend until smooth and pour over the remaining ice cream and serve. You can also top it with more fresh fruit.
Popcorn
-
Popcorn is yummy and easy to make. It is nutritious when you substitute bee pollen for the butter or other substances you season with. To make bee pollen popcorn, you need 1/2 cup of uncooked popcorn, 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, 1 tsp. bee pollen, 2 tsp. sugar and 2 tsp. salt. Heat the oil in a saucepan until it is hot. Add the popcorn kernels and shake continuously over the heat until the popping stops and then remove from heat. Grind your bee pollen into a fine powder (a coffee grinder or flax seed mill works great). Sprinkle over your popcorn and add salt and sugar to taste.
