Acid reflux disease, commonly known as GERD, is acid in your stomach irritating the lining of your esophagus. Most often, this is a chronic condition. This disease can eat away at your esophagus, causing permanent damage if not treated properly. Diagnostic tests can determine if the symptoms you are experiencing are GERD.
  1. Sore Throat

    • If you experience a continuous sore throat, especially after meals, this can be a sign of acid reflux disease.

    Heartburn

    • A feeling of continuous heartburn can be an indication of acid reflux disease.

    Trouble Swallowing

    • If you have trouble swallowing or pain while swallowing, this can be a sign of acid reflux disease.

    Bad Breath
