How to Cure Digestive Problems Through Yoga

Do the Seated Twist

Sit on the floor and bend your knees so your left foot is next to your right hip and your right foot is next to your left knee. Shift so the bones of your bottom are pressing the floor.

Put your right hand securely on the floor near the right hip. Place your left arm across and around your right thigh. Sit up tall and inhale.

Exhale and focus on twisting your spine. Feel it all the way up from the base to your neck, while you turn to look over your right shoulder.

Untwist out of the position after breathing slowly for five seconds. Switch sides and repeat the steps.
Practice the Cobra

Lie flat on your stomach with your forehead touching the floor and your legs together. Place your hands, fingers spread, on the floor beneath your shoulders. Squeeze your butt and press your hipbones and pelvic bone to the floor.

Lift your body from your chest up off the floor. Start with your head working your way to your upper chest.

Press your palms down and lift your waist off the floor. Breathe and hold the position for 10 seconds.

Release the pose by slowly rolling back down to the floor. Start at your waist and work your way down.
Relax with the Crescent Stretch

Stand with your feet close together and parallel. Inhale and raise your hands over your head. Exhale while you lace your fingers together.

Take another breath in, and reach to the ceiling. Relax your shoulders, exhale and reach to the right with your hands still together. Press your hips towards the left as you do this step.

Open your chest up to face the ceiling and breathe three slow breaths. Inhale, and reach back to the ceiling.

Let your breath out as you reach to the left. Press your hips to the right. Repeat the process on this side, and relax your arms at your sides when done.
