Do digested food enter from your blood stream after it moves through the large intestine?
No, digested food does not enter your bloodstream after moving through the large intestine. Instead, waste products and water are absorbed from the digested food in the large intestine, forming stool, while the remaining nutrients have already been absorbed in the small intestine. Nutrients resulting from the digestion process move through the small intestine and into your blood stream via tiny finger-like projections inside your small intestine called villi.
