Where does protein digestion ends?

Protein digestion ends in the small intestine. Proteins are partially digested in the stomach by the enzyme pepsin and further broken down into amino acids by various enzymes, such as trypsin, chymotrypsin, and elastase, within the small intestine. These amino acids are then absorbed by the cells lining the small intestine.
