How to Completely Exterminate Roundworms Naturally
Roundworm, a parasite that typically lives in the intestinal tracts of animals, poses health risks to the host, since the worms feed on the food that the animal consumes. The medical and veterinary treatments for roundworm are harsh and some pet owners prefer to treat the infestations using natural treatments. Besides improving the health of the animal, getting rid of the infestation reduces the risk of transmitting the worms to its human caretakers. Animals, especially those who go outdoors, can become infected if they eat something that has the roundworm eggs on it.Things You'll Need

1
Purchase unrefined diatomaceous earth from a health food store -- the kind of diatomaceous earth sold at pool supply stores is not safe for pets. The powder has sharp edges that cut through the worms in the intestinal tract, which kills the worms.
-
2
Mix 1 tsp. of the diatomaceous earth into the pet's food at each meal for three weeks. You may find that feeding diatomaceous earth to your pet, especially cats, is easier if you mix it into canned or wet food.

3
Combine 1 part garlic powder, 1 part fennel seed, 1 part yucca root and 2 parts raw, unsalted ground pumpkin seeds. Stir this herb mixture into your pet's food at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of food the pet eats daily. Feed the mixture to your pet for five days straight and two days off until you notice its health improving.

Mix in oat bran or oatmeal to your pet's food to add fiber into its diet. You can also grind up raw carrots or turnips to increase your pet's fiber intake, which helps the animal pass the worms. Continue feeding it the extra fiber for a three-week period.
