How to Unlock a Jazzy 1122

The Jazzy 1122 is a model of electric wheelchair manufactured by Pride. The 1122 can be locked in position by its manual parking brake to prevent the chair moving while the occupant is getting in or out. This is useful for achieving maximum safety while using the wheelchair. Allow approximately a minute to deactivate the manual parking brake on the Pride Jazzy 1122.

  Locate the manual park brake lever located on a metal arm near the driving wheels.

  Lift the lever upward to prevent the wheel lock from making contact with the tire.

  Repeat on the opposite side of the wheelchair to remove the second manual brake.
