Natural Shingles Cure
Adults who suffered from the chickenpox may experience shingles when they get older. The herpes zoster virus, which is responsible for shingles, lays dormant in the body and becomes active years after the infection. A few natural remedies ease the pain of the rash and reduce the inflammation.-
Vitamin C Pills

Breaking a vitamin C pill in half and placing it on the sores eases the pain from shingles rashes.
Oatmeal Baths

Oatmeal baths and oatmeal soap help relieve itching and reduce the need to scratch. It does not do much to alleviate the pain from shingles, but can reduce the redness of the rashes.
Apple Cider Vinegar

Applying a mixture of 1/2 cup vinegar and 2 cups of water on the affected areas relieves the pain and helps heal the skin. Use a washcloth. Dip it in the mixture and wring it out. Apply the cloth over the affected areas for about an hour. Repeat the procedure until the rash disappears.
Vegetable Shortening

Apply shortening such as Crisco to the affected areas. This will relieve the pain, but does leave your skin greasy.
Ice

Applying ice to the rashes relieves the pain of shingles and can be done as often as needed.
Aloe Vera, Cayenne Pepper, and Apple Cider Vinegar

Rub crushed cayenne pepper over the inflamations and apply aloe vera lotion afterwards. The application of these items to the skin will take care of the rashes. Drink 1 tsp. of apple cider vinegar three times a day. The process should shorten the duration of a shingles breakout.
