1
Dip a cotton swab in hydrogen peroxide. Gently dab the hydrogen peroxide on problem areas on your tonsils. You may feel a bubbling sensation, which is the hydrogen oxygenating the bacteria in the mouth.

2
Gargle with a mouthwash, such as Listerine, twice a day. Pay specific attention to the back of your throat by throwing your head back and gargling for at least 30 seconds. Spit and rinse your mouth thoroughly with water.

3
Gargle with salt water. Salt water will restore the pH of your mouth and it also has an antiseptic quality. Swish salt water in your mouth for one minute, paying specific attention to your tonsils by gargling with your head back.
