Is tay sachs disease a of codominance?

Tay-Sachs disease is not an example of codominance. Codominance is a type of inheritance in which both alleles of a gene are expressed in the offspring. This results in a phenotype that is a combination of the phenotypes of both parents. Tay-Sachs disease, on the other hand, is an autosomal recessive genetic disorder. This means that both copies of the gene must be mutated in order for the disease to be expressed.
