Symptoms of septicemic plague include:

- Sudden onset of fever, chills, and weakness

- Nausea and vomiting

- Diarrhea

- Abdominal pain

- Confusion

- Shock

- Bleeding from the nose, mouth, or rectum

- Skin lesions that may turn black and die
