Why do we use human embryos to treat some diseases?

Human embryos are not used in any FDA-approved treatment today as there are significant ethical and biological issues involved in their use.

There are alternative sources such as adult stem cells, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and cord blood that offer promising potential for treating various diseases and injuries while addressing most of the ethical, practical, and scientific drawbacks associated with the use of embryonic stem cells.
