How to Treat ICP
ICP stands for intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. Also known as obstetric cholestasis and cholestasis of pregnancy, ICP occurs when there is a blockage of bile from the mother's liver. It can cause the mother to suffer from intense itching and yellowing of the skin and eyes. ICP also can pose a serious threat to the developing baby.Instructions

Talk to your doctor about doing periodic ultrasound scans to monitor the ICP's effect on your baby. If your doctor believes that the baby is in danger, he may suggest inducing labor early to prevent complications.
