How to Remove Tape Worms in Humans
There are several different ways that a human can get a tapeworm. Some common ways include eating raw fish or undercooked meats, fruits and vegetables in undeveloped countries, meat from an animal that was also infected with a tapeworm, contaminated food products or water that contains tapeworm eggs, or food that has been prepared by a person who has tapeworms. A tapeworm lives in your intestines and can cause serious health problems if they are not removed.Instructions

Be alert to the symptoms of tapeworms. These include nausea and abdominal pain, weakness, diarrhea, loss of appetite, unexplained weight loss and constant hunger. Your bowel movements might also contain segments from a tapeworm, which can actually still be moving once passed through your body.
-
2
Make an appointment with your physician right away if you think you might have a tapeworm. Be prepared to give a stool sample at the appointment.
-
3
Expect your physician to take a blood sample and a stool sample to diagnose the tapeworm and identify the specific type of tapeworm you have. There are a total of six types of tapeworms that can be found in people.

Take the medication prescribed by your physician. In most cases, there will only be a single dose of medication that will kill the tapeworm. Some examples of medications used to kill tapeworms include praziquantel and albendazole.

5
Once the medication is taken and the tapeworm dies, you need to pass it via a bowel movement. Large tapeworms can cause cramping and can be difficult to pass, but this is a necessary part of removing the tapeworm from your system.

Go to your follow-up appointments with your physician. After one and three months, your physician will check to make sure the tapeworms are dead, have been passed and that no other tapeworms have taken their place.
