Inpatient

Memorial Hermann Behavioral Health Center provides a full spectrum of services from detox to aftercare. Detoxification is the first step in recovery. Their physicians are certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine, and a 24-hour nursing staff will assist you with the many complications that can arise from withdrawal. If withdrawal symptoms are severe, they will administer safe detox medications to eliminate the possibility of any life-threatening complications. Depending on your level of dependency, time spent in detox will range from three days to a week. Every patient is treated on an individual basis, and considerations are made based on diagnosis and progress.
Outpatient

For less severe form of addiction, outpatient detox and rehabilitation programs are available. When first calling, you will be given an appointment for assessment--you and your intake counselor will make the decision that best suits your needs at the time of your meeting.
In some cases, if withdrawal symptoms are expected to be minimal, medication might be prescribed to take while at home. Appointments would be made for one to three times a week for counseling and observation.

Family counseling is offered to those whose loved ones are in need of assistance, as addiction affects more than just the addicted person. Whole families sometimes need help coping while the addicted family member begins the road to wellness. Counseling for children also is available.
