Admit that you have an addiction to alcohol. The first step in recovery is admitting that you have a problem with alcohol and that you want to recover. Denial is a stage of addiction that is completely normal. Once we get past denial and can admit that our alcohol use has become unmanageable, we can begin our journey to recovery.

With the support of friends, family, doctors or other recovering addicts we know that we are not alone and help is there for us. Contact someone in your support group any time you feel that you may relapse or just feel like you want to talk.
