Search online to see if your community already has a community anti drug program. If so, find out about joining forces with them.
-
2
Educate yourself on the truths about drugs. You cannot expect to help people if you do not know what they are dealing with.
-
3
Visit the websites for both the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program and the Foundation for a Drug-Free World to find out the exact steps needed to start one of their anti drug programs.
-
4
Choose the anti drug program you wish to use.
-
5
Do your training for which ever program you choose. Order your materials for your program.
-
6
Hand out flyers to everyone you know. Contact local school and drop off flyers, posters, and brochures on your anti drug program.
-
7
Find former drug addicts who have been sober for at least a year to their stories. These are the most compelling speakers you can have to get your message out.
-
8
Organize assemblies with schools, schedule group rallies, and/or hold small meetings to get your message out there. Include the guest speakers that you found.
