Grants in Minnesota for Chemical Dependency Programs

Chemical dependency, commonly referred to as drug addiction, is one of the greatest of all health-related epidemics, leading to thousands of deaths each day. A number of grants are offered in the state of Minnesota that are designed to help ensure that those who are battling drug addiction in the Land of a Thousand Lakes are able to get the help they need to beat their addictions.
  1. Harbor Light

    • Harbor Light is a chemical dependency treatment and prevention program that is sponsored by the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army operates chemical dependency programs throughout the nation, with Minneapolis being the site of its Minnesota treatment facility. Harbor Light provides in-patient drug treatment facilities as well as after-care halfway house programs for those suffering from addictions to cocaine, marijuana, heroine, methamphetamines and alcohol, as well as a number of prescription medications. While Harbor Light does accept payments in the form of cash or credit and also accepts private insurance, the program offers funding in the form of treatment grants so that no one is turned away simply due to the inability to pay.
