Detox Programs in New Jersey

For a person who has used drugs for a long period of time, quitting cold turkey can have drastic effects. In many cases, a bridge period called detoxification, or detox, is implemented between the person's last use of the drug and quitting entirely.       Seabrook House offers 150 beds, providing care to both men and women. The facility recommends a minimum of four to five weeks for the treatment before a patient may check himself out. Patients seeking specific requirements (mother and child accommodations, young adult ages 18 to 24, sexual addiction track, specialized opioid detox) will be accommodated.

    • The Psychiatric & Addiction Services (PASSNJ) treatment center provides outpatient detox for people taking Oxycodone, Roxicodone, Percocet, OxyContin, alcohol, cocaine, Hydrocodone, Methadone, Vicodin, heroin or suffering from psychiatric illnesses such as psychosis, schizophrenia, agoraphobia, depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and panic disorder. The facility treats patients in the detox program with Suboxone (for those patients detoxing from Vicodin, Oxycontin, heroin and Percocet), Subutex and Buprenorphine (other pain killers), Vivitrol (alcohol) and counseling.

      PASSNJ also assists patients in their recovery by combining counseling sessions with a licensed clinical psychologist, skill-building and smoking cessation. The facility is not a 12-step based recovery center. PASSNJ is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Board of Addiction Medicine, American Society of Addiction Medicine and American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

    Jersey Shore Daytox

    • If you want to undergo a detox program but prefer to sleep at your own home, consider Jersey Shore Daytox, which is a non-hospitalization, out-patient detox program. Upon entering the detox facility, you'll have a medical and physical exam by a licensed physician certified in addictions medicine. After a personalized opiate detoxification program is determined, you'll be taken into care by a registered nurse. The facility uses Suboxone to reduce opiate cravings and streamline withdrawal. Patients' treatment plans range from a few weeks to a year or more.

      Jersey Shore Daytox offers a number of recovery options: day to day recovery in the organization's medical office, at one of their affiliated hotels or personal, on-site service at your own home.
