How to Flush an Ear With Water
Ears tend to get clogged due to dirt and debris or a buildup of ear wax. 1
Fill your small bowl with water. Make sure that the temperature is warm but not hot. Stick your fingers into the water, and let a few droplets fall on your inner wrist to test the temperature. Water that is too cold or too hot can damage your inner ear.
-
2
Stick the tip of your bulb syringe into your bowl of water. Squeeze the bulb to suck up water.
-
3
Tilt your head to the side, and place the tip of the bulb syringe at the opening of your ear canal. Do not insert the syringe into your ear. You can cause severe damage.
-
4
Squeeze the bulb to release the water. The water will rush into your ear, and you may feel a small amount of pressure and fullness in your ear canal.
-
5
Set your wash cloth under your ear, and tilt your head back up. Catch any liquid that comes from your ear with your wash cloth. Repeat twice on both ears.
