Positioning
-
Positioning plays a big role with fluid in the inner ear. Do not continually lay flat; instead, position your body so your ear can drain. Prop your body up at a 30 degree angle, which will also help alleviate pain. Start using this position as soon as you notice fluid in your ear, and continue to use it until a few days after the infection, or until you have cleared all of the fluid.
