How to Fix Ear Pressure

Eustachian tubes can often become obstructed or clogged causing ear infections and pressure. There are several different ways of dealing with the pressure, including going to the ENT doctor and having her suction out your ear and prescribe antibiotics and antibiotic drops. You can also try a home remedy that can prove highly effective to relieve the pain.

  • Ground cinnamon
  • Olive oil or vegetable oil
  • Strainer
  • Eye dropper
  • Spoon
  • Heat source

Instructions

      Heat up oil until it is warm.

      Place cinnamon in a container and pour the warm oil on top of it. Stir with the spoon.

      Strain into another small container.

      Scoop up some oil in the spoon.

      Using a hot pad on the spoon handle, hold the spoon over the stove or other heat source to warm it to body temperature.

      Suck up the cinnamon oil with the eye dropper and test the temperature on your wrist. It should feel neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm.

      Drop three to four drops inside the affected ear and hold in for one minute.
