1
Attempt a large, long yawn. Yawning can bring air into the ear canal and help clear up the congestion. It may not remove the problem entirely, but it can help.
-
2
Chew on gum, food or anything else you can find for your mouth. Chewing can help loosen up the ear congestion.
-
3
Drink liquids. Like chewing and yawning, swallowing can have a positive effect on your ear congestion.
-
4
Use a decongestant nasal spray. The nasal spray can help brake up the mucus and relieve the congestion.

5
Continue using all the methods for the next several days. The ear congestion should pass within two days of when it started.
