How to Clean Beltone Hearing Aids
Hearing aids are sophisticated electronic devices that sit in your hot, humid, oily, waxy ears for up to 16 hours each day, seven days a week. They get exposed to rain, snow, perspiration, dust, pollen, high humidity, frigid cold and other conditions in which people around the world live.So it is important that you clean your hearing aids on a daily basis, even if they don't look dirty. They'll work better and last longer if you take good care of them.

- Clean cloth or paper towel.
- Hearing aid cleaning brush and cloth
- Canned air

Wipe the entire surface of your hearing aids with a clean dry cloth or paper towel.

Inspect the part of the hearing aid that goes into your ear. Brush across the opening to remove the wax, taking care not to push the bristles into the opening.

Inspect microphone inlets and brush across the openings to remove any dirt or debris

Open the battery door and inspect the battery. If it has a brown or greenish appearance, remove the battery and replace with a new one.

If your hearing aid has a thin-tube, inspect the tube for moisture and wax. Remove the tube from the hearing aid, place the canned air nozzle into the tube and blow the moisture or wax out. Then install the tube back onto the hearing aid.

If your hearing aid has a custom earmold, you can wash it with warm water and mild soap. Remove the earmold tubing from the hearing aid earhook before washing the earmold. Use canned air to blow out any water from the earmold and then wipe it dry.

If your hearing aid has a receiver wire, inspect the dome. Wipe clean the dome and replace the wax filter underneath the dome as needed.
