The Natural Way to Remove Ear Wax
Ear wax production varies from one person to the next. The amount and consistency of a person's ear wax can be as unique as the individual. Some ear wax is hard and dry, while others have ear wax that is more wet in consistency. Ear wax is essential to the health of the ear, protecting the inner ear from dirt and other debris. But when overproduction of ear wax occurs or hard ear wax causes a clog, it can become very uncomfortable, affecting the hearing and causing discomfort in the ears.Things You'll Need

1
Lean your head to the side so the ear with ear wax is tilted up, then pull the ear lobe down and out to open the ear canal. Place three drops olive oil into the ear canal with an eye dropper. Use olive oil that is room temperature.
-
2
Keep your head tilted to the side for three or four minutes so the oil has time to work its way down the ear canal, softening the ear wax in the process. Use a clean cloth to wipe away any olive oil drips on the outside of the ear.

3
Fill a rubber syringe with lukewarm water. Drip the water in slowly, with small squirts, to loosen the ear wax. Small pieces of the hardened ear wax will break off and work their way through the ear canal and out of the ear.

4
Tilt your head so the ear from which you're removing the ear wax is now facing the floor. Stay in this position to help the loose ear wax work its way out of the ear. Wipe ear wax away from the ear's opening with cotton swabs.

5
Drop three drops of rubbing alcohol into the ear to dry it out. Lean your head to the side so the rubbing alcohol can drip down into the ear canal, then lean the affected ear toward the floor so the alcohol can drip back out.
