How to Test High Frequency Hearing
Hearing at high frequency levels differs from person to person and generally declines as you age or if your hearing is damaged. There are several free tests available that provide a range of tones of increasing frequencies and allow you to test the limits of your hearing ability. As the frequencies increase, the tone becomes higher and higher, eventually reaching the point where you can no longer hear it.Things You'll Need

1
Turn on the computer and access a high frequency hearing test. A number of them can be easily found online. For example, the University of New South Wales in Australia offers an extensive hearing frequency test on their website.
-
2
Plug the headphones into the sound input on the computer and put them on. Make sure they fit snugly, and that the background noise in the area is minimized.
-
3
Take the test, which entails listening to tones of gradually increasing frequency, which will become harder and harder to hear as the frequencies increase. Once the tone becomes impossible to hear, the previous level will be the frequency limit for that particular person.
