      Purchase a hearing aid cleaning kit that includes a wax pick and brush. The kits are sometimes including when your initial purchase of a hearing aid. If not, visit your audiologist for a cleaning kit.

      Remove the hearing aid from your ear.

      Remove any wax that may have accumulated on the ear mold. Use the wax pick to clean off the earwax.

      Clean and disinfect the hearing aid and ear mold surface with a non-alcohol based disinfectant towelette.

      Remove the battery from the hearing aid and dust, both the battery and its compartment with the brush. Replace the battery.

      Replace your hearing aid battery.
