How to Have Air Optix Night & Day Changed

Contact lens preferences differ from person to person and it often takes several tries to find the most comfortable pair. Air Optix Night & Day contact lenses are high-breathability contact lenses. They are prescribed for eyes that need corrective lenses that are particularly sensitive, dry out easily, or for people who nap or travel often. These lenses are approved by the FDA for thirty days of continuous wear although you should follow your optometrist's recommendations for length of wear. These may not be the lenses for you however and you should not settle for uncomfortable contacts.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit your optometrist and take an eye exam. Eye exams are recommended yearly for contact wearers and are particularly important if you have sensitive eyes that Air Optix Night & Day lenses are prescribed for.

    • 2

Discuss the reasons you want to change lens brands with your doctor. Discomfort is a simple reason, or perhaps you have no need for the high oxygen breathability the lenses provide. If your eyes are red for an extended period of time, particularly while wearing Air Optix Night & Day lenses, there may be an underlying cause not related to your contacts.

    • 3

Try on several pairs of contacts in different brands. Try each brand for a day or two to feel their extended wear breathability.

    • 4

Weigh the plusses and minuses of the different brands by noting their different lengths of wear, the breathability and the range of prescriptions available.

    • 5

Choose the brand that is most comfortable and offers the most benefits for your lifestyle. Your optometrist will provide you with a prescription to purchase your chosen pair, or you can order them from your optometrist's office.
