How to Pass the Farnsworth D-15 if You Are Color-blind
Individuals who suffer with color blindness have either a partial or total inability to distinguish one color from another color. For instance, if you have this ailment, also known as color vision deficiency, you can see blue and green, but you may not be able to tell the difference between these two colors. Take the exam with printed cards and not via a computer monitor. A computer monitor displays various colors with different levels of brightness and clarity.

Look at the figures on your test from about 2.5 feet away. If you look at the dots on your exam from a closer distance; this may cloud your perception and cause the dots to appear less clear.

Use the best lighting for your test. Take your test during the daytime. If you look at the dots on your exam in a poorly lit setting, this can hinder your ability to view the colors you see.

Stand in a good position. Position your body in such a way that your eyes can view the middle of the circle of dots. You need to stand right behind the circle of dots.
