Homemade Eye Bath
Your body is not the only thing that suffers from being tired or having allergies. Often, your eyes suffer, too, as they can become red, itchy and sore. If this happens, there is something you can do about it--you can give your eyes a refreshing bath. As long as you use the right ingredients, bathing your eyes will not hurt at all.Things You'll Need
- Antibacterial soap
- Distilled water
- Green tea bag
- Eye cup
Instructions

1
Wash your hands with antibacterial soap and some warm water. This will prevent you from spreading germs to your eyes while bathing them.
-
2
Bring 8 oz distilled water to a boil. Pour it in a coffee-type cup, and add a green tea bag.
-
3
Remove the tea bag after a few minutes, and stir the tea. Let the tea sit until it is completely cool.
-
4
Transfer 2 tsp brewed green tea to your eye cup. Eye cups are available for purchase at any pharmacy or drug store.
-
5
Add 1 tsp distilled water to the eye cup, and stir.
-
6
Lean forward and hold the eye cup over your eye. Then lean backward and open your eye so that your eye is surrounded by the green tea mixture.
-
7
Move your eye all around to give it a bath. It will also help if you blink a few times.
-
8
Lean forward again, and remove the eye cup. Clean the eye cup, and repeat the steps to give your other eye a bath.
