How to Adjust Eye Frames With Heat
Plastic-framed glasses are harder to adjust then wire- or steel-framed glasses, but they are usually more durable over the long run and less prone to breakage. When attempting to adjust your eye frames with heat, it is important to only use small, gentle adjustments on the frame to avoid breaking them. This process requires patience, as a quick hard adjustment could permanently damage your frames. Make sure your frames are still in a warmed, bendable state when working on them. You can reheat them as necessary.Things You'll Need

1
Stand in front of the mirror and check to see how your glasses are positioned on your face. Note both how they sit and how they feel, whether they're too high or too low on your nose, too loose or if they are pinching your head. Also note if one side is higher than the other side.
-
2
Place the temple tips of your glasses in steaming hot water for 20 to 30 seconds on each side so they become malleable.
-
3
Bend the tips of the temples gently downwards if they sit too high on your face, working closer towards the bend in the temple for larger adjustments.
-
4
Change the angle of the temple tips to a more horizontal position if you need to lower the glasses on your face, bending them slightly upwards for larger adjustments. Make small alterations, checking the glasses on your face as you adjust the frame. If the temples become stiff and hard to adjust, quickly run them under water again for 20 seconds.
-
5
Fix loose frames by bending the temples inward so they will fit more snugly on your head when you put them on. This is best adjusted just above the bend on the temple tips. Looser frames should be adjusted outwards.
-
6
Adjust lopsided glasses by either raising the temple tip on the side that is too high or lowering the side that is too low. This may sound backwards, but it is the correct adjustment to make.
-
7
Run cold water over your frames to set them in their new position as soon as you are done.
