How to Replace Lenses in Reading Glasses

Many people require the aid of reading glasses to read small text. Finding a pair of reading glasses that you like is difficult sometimes, as reading glasses come in numerous styles and lens strengths. Once you find a frame that you like, it is disheartening when the lenses in that frame become scratched or damaged. One solution is to simply purchase another pair of reading glasses, but if you cannot find another pair that you like, you will not be satisfied. Luckily, with a bit of innovation, you can simply replace the lenses in your reading glasses.

  • Reading glasses repair kit
  • Replacement lenses

      Locate the screws that hold the two pieces that make up the frame of your reading glasses together around the lenses. One screw is located on each side of the reading glasses.

      Use the mini screwdriver found in the reading glasses repair kit to unscrew each of the screws, releasing the lenses from the frames.

      Position one of the replacement lenses within the frames, and hold the two pieces of the frames securely in place around the lens as you re-screw the screw back into the frames.

      Repeat this process with the second lens to finish replacing the lenses in your reading glasses.
