Night & Day Contact Lenses Instructions

Night & Day Lenses are contact lenses made by Air Optix. The contacts are designed to be extremely comfortable and worn for long periods of time by providing extra moisture to the eyes. The FDA has approved wearing Night & Day lenses for up to 30 days in a row, but when the lenses are removed between replacement times they still need to be cleaned and disinfected properly.
  1. Cleaning and Disinfecting Night & Day Lenses

    • Night & Day lenses do not require daily cleaning or disinfection when worn overnight for up to a month. However there are times when you remove your lenses during your 30-day wearing schedule or as directed by your doctor. On those occasions, you should clean your lenses.
Always wash your hands thoroughly before handling your Night & Day contacts. Fill both sides of your clean contact lens storing case with multipurpose solution. Clear Care is Air Optix's recommended solution for Night & Day contact lenses but you may use any multi-purpose soft contact lens cleaning and disinfecting solution that is recommended by your eye care practitioner.
Remove your right lens first to help avoid confusing lenses. Place several drops of multi-purpose cleaning and storing solution on your lens and rub both sides in a circular motion for 20 seconds. Rinse the lens with solution and place your right lens in the well of your contact lens storage case. Fill the well of the contact case with enough solution to completely cover the contact. Repeat the process with your left lens.

Tips for Night & Day Contact Lens

    • Night & Day contact lenses come with a very light blue tint which makes them easier to find. The lenses also have an inversion marking that is indicated by an "OK" engraved into the lenses so you can tell if the lens is inside out.
Individual wearing schedules vary so you should always follow the wear, care and replacement recommendations of Night & Day lenses made specifically for you by your eye care practitioner.
