How to Administer Liquid Eye Medication
In the event of an eye injury or infection, it is often necessary to administer medication via eye drops. Proper administration of liquid eye medication is key for effective treatment. Improper technique can result in insufficient delivery of the necessary medication, potential contamination of the drugs and increased chances of potential side effects. Due to the inclusion of beta blockers in many eye drops, improper technique can result in the medication being absorbed into the bloodstream. If this happens, it can result in side effects such as low blood pressure, dizziness and headaches.Instructions
