How to Clean Acuvue Oasys

Acuvue Oasys is a line of disposable contact lenses made from silicone hydrogel, a material that provides more oxygen to your eyes and retains more moisture than traditional soft lenses made from hydrogel polymers (soft plastics). You should clean and disinfect your Oasys lenses every time you remove them to prevent the buildup of harmful bacteria.

  Wash your hands with soap and water, making sure to get them completely clean. Dry them with a soft cloth and make sure your fingers are free from lint or fuzz.

  Cup your hand slightly and place your Oasys lens in the center of your palm.

  Squeeze three or four drops of multipurpose contact lens solution onto each side of the lens. Using the index finger of your free hand, rub the lens gently on each side for approximately 10 seconds.

  Place the lens into the appropriate section of your contact lens case. Fill the case with fresh solution and close the lid tightly. Repeat with your other lens, and allow them to soak for at least four hours.
