How to Restore Vision Through Eye Exercises

Physical therapy of the brain and eyes is comprised of exercises for people with vision problems. These exercises consist of movements of deliberate control of the muscles of the eyes to refine vision.       Take your hand and cover one eye. Scan different objects in the background with your eye, instead of just staring at one object.

      Move your eyes in a designated, specific pattern; start by focusing your eyes on your eyebrows, then roll them in clockwise or counter clockwise motion, making the largest circle possible with your eyes. Stop when your eyes reach your eyebrows, then repeat.

      Concentrate your eyes on one solitary object to build muscles in the eye.

      Take your hands, rub them until warm. Close your eyes then take your hands and cup your eyes. Rest your hands on the areas around your eyes and not on the eyes themselves. Do this for 10 minutes, 2-3 a day.

      Move your hand and cover one of your eyes. Outstretch your other hand. Make different shapes with the thumb of this hand, such as squares, half circles and circles. Focus your uncovered eye only on the shapes your thumb is making. Do this for 20-30 seconds and repeat the process with your other eye.

      Rest your eyes for three to five minutes at a time and place a soft cloth over them. Ensure that no light gets through the cloth.

      Take two bowls, one filled with cold water and the other filled with hot water. Take a cloth, soak it in the cold water and place it on your closed eyes for 30 seconds. Then, take another cloth and soak it in the hot water. Place this cloth on your eyes for 30 seconds. Repeat this process several times.
