How to Buy Contacts Online Without a Prescription

Contrary to what many people think, it is legal to buy contact lenses online. Keep in mind that it is the responsibility of the online seller to verify that you have a prescription. Many online retailers, however, do not take the time to perform this duty.

  Click on "Select Your Lenses." This will take you to a list of all the lenses your online lens purveyor has available. Once you've selected the brand of lenses you want, you will be taken to a window where you can fill in your prescription.

  Fill in your prescription. Enter the quantity you want by clicking on the drop-down arrow and selecting the number. Then enter the power number, which is the measurement for the visual acuity of each eye, and the base curve (BC) number, which is the measurement for the curvature of the lenses.
