How to Get Rid of Puffy Swollen Eyes
There are a variety of causes for puffy swollen eyes, including allergic reactions to pollen or food, eyelid dermatitis and high blood pressure. Excess fluid retention and excess alcohol consumption can also cause puffiness and swelling in the eyes and other areas of the body. Natural herbs, caffeine and aloe vera gel can relieve swelling and calm the eye area, even reducing redness.Things You'll Need

Home Remedies

1
Soak two tea bags in boiling water for at least 1 minute. Chamomile is particularly soothing and has been used for years to reduce puffiness in the body. If you don't have chamomile, you can use any herbal tea.
-
2
Remove the tea bags from the water and place them in the freezer for 3 minutes.
-
3
Place the cool tea bags over both eyes and lie down. Leave the tea bags on your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. The natural herbs and caffeine in the tea, coupled with the cooling sensation from the freezer, will help to get rid of puffy, swollen eyes.
