How to Use Lotemax
Lotemax, also known as loteprednol, is a medication used to treat various allergies and bacterial infections that commonly affect the eye. Basically, what this solution does is relieve any swelling that may be plaguing the eye while reducing any itchiness or irritation that may cause a person to rub or touch the eye. Typically, you'll administer a drop (sometimes two) in the affected eye a number of times throughout the day for a specified length of time.Instructions

1
Shake the bottle before each application. You'll want to make sure the solution is mixed well before drawing out any of the solution.
-
2
Lean your head back and adjust your eyes so they are looking toward your eyebrows.
-
3
Pull the lower lid of your eye down so the inside of the lid is slightly exposed and creates almost a pocket.
-
4
Squeeze a single drop of the Lotemax solution into the pocket. You may need the use of mirror to gauge the exact location of the pocket in relation to the eyedropper. If your doctor prescribed more than one drop per eye, repeat the process until you have finished your recommended dose.
-
5
Shift your gaze down and then slowly close your eyes, keeping them closed anywhere from 60 to 90 seconds.
-
6
Follow the same application for the other eye. If both eyes are affected by the allergy or infection, you'll need to follow the same application process for the second eye.
-
7
Continue to use Lotemax as prescribed by your doctor.
