Sleep or relax your eyes. The biggest contributor to bags under the eyes is lack of sleep and rest. It is recommended that the average person receive at least six to eight hours of sleep per night. Sometimes, this may not be possible as life is rather hectic. If you are receiving less than six hours of sleep at night, rest your eyes throughout the day. Take 15 minutes at least three times a day to close your eyes. This will assist in removing the bags.

Use moist tea bags. Tea bags are common among people that wish to get rid of bags under the eyes. The tea moistens and tightens the skin that causes the black bags. Lie down on the couch or bed with two tea bags. Place them on the eyes. Make sure your eyes are closed. Lay there with your eyes shut for 15 to 30 minutes. You will want to do this at least twice a day.

Use a cold compress. Run cold water from the tap for at least five minutes. Take a washcloth and get it damp. You do not want it soaking wet, just to be moist and cold. Lie down on the couch or bed and apply it to the eyes. Wait for about 15 minutes before removing the cold compress. This is required twice a day for best results.
