Can eyes change color according to what they are wearing?

The color of someone's eyes is determined by the amount and distribution of melanin in the iris, the colored part of the eye. Wearing colored contact lenses or certain types of clothing or accessories can make eyes appear to change color, but it is not possible for eyes to naturally change color spontaneously or in response to anything they are wearing.
