What is 30 vision?

20/30 vision means that you can see an object at 20 feet away about the same as a person with normal vision (20/20 vision) can see it at 30 feet.

A visual acuity of 20/30 is generally considered to be within the normal range of vision. However, it may still be considered to be mild visual impairment, and it can affect your ability to perform certain tasks, such as reading small text or driving at night.

There are a number of causes for 20/30 vision, including refractive errors, such as nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism, as well as age-related conditions, such as presbyopia and cataracts.

People with 20/20 vision do not necessarily have "perfect" vision. Even people with 20/20 vision may experience some mild vision problems, such as eyestrain, glare, or difficulty seeing in low light.
