What are the Navy SEAL Eye sight Requirements?

To become a Navy SEAL, candidates must meet the following eyesight requirements:

Visual Acuity:

- Distant Visual Acuity (corrected): 20/20 in each eye

- Near Visual Acuity (corrected): 20/20 in each eye

Refractive Errors:

- Myopia (nearsightedness): No more than -8.00 diopters in either eye

- Hyperopia (farsightedness): No more than +4.00 diopters in either eye

- Astigmatism: No more than 2.00 diopters in either eye

Color Vision:

Candidates who fail to meet these eyesight requirements may still be eligible for a waiver if they demonstrate that they can perform the essential duties of a Navy SEAL despite their vision limitations. Waivers are granted on a case-by-case basis by a board of medical experts.
